The Indian mugger is a huge beast that can grow up to 4.5m in length, with formidable jaws and armour-like hide. These intimidating yet absolutely elusive creatures are one of the world’s most enduring species, widely believed to have outlasted dinosaurs by some 65 million years. The cold-blooded yet reclusive crocodiles of Cumbharjua love spending a lot of time in the sun, camouflaged on the mud banks thereby offering a glimpse to the nature enthusiast and photographer.
